Sometimes I love Los Angeles (Courtesy of British Petroleum and Mercedes Benz)
Only in a city like Los Angeles, and truly only in a place like West LA can you pull off such an elegant message. I must admit i felt a tad embarrassed pulling into LA’s only green gas station. I’m guessing the lower burning temp of ethanol and consequent loss in HP (horsepower) will be tariff enough for my experience.
An average of 6-9 mpg in the city + 7.6% Ethanol Enhanced Gasoline + BP Green gas station + $180k S65 AMG v12 BiTurbo with 600+HP = Yes LA rocks
(and to think I’m a liberal)
Corner of Robertson and Olympic: Gas was $3.33 ($3.65 in Brentwood) for premium, $3.13 for standard when cheapest around is 3.11 (so not too bad??) 7.6% Ethanol in the 91 octane.
Nice perk are the women employed by BP to educate you on the “green building” nature of the station. (After the Jump) They hand out some literature, as well as a postcard that is biodegradable and has flower seeds in it. (So if you throw it away on your way home, well you’re actually doing something good when you litter???)
The Architecture of the place really is interesting. It certainly is different.
Nice ATM style pump. Very easy to use, pretty station, and nice employees. Oh and cheaper than most stations in a premium area, anything more to ask for?
Thats all folks, click the pics for larger versions.

I applaud their efforts but feel it is necessary that they offer biofuels in order to deliver a truly consistent message.
it’s absolutely outrageous that you put forth a facade of conscientiousness when you pay 180k for a car, and harp that public school system is so destitute.
Donate some of that cash to charity!
Nice employees? I’m a disabled person with a disabled person placard for my car. There’s a law that when a disabled person with placard goes to a gas station with more than one employee, they are supposed to help pump the gas. I have gone to this station SEVERAL times because they always do have SEVERAL extra employees in their green shirts just standing around doing nothing, but as soon as I get there they just can’t seem to make themselves scarce enough soon enough. Unbelievable! Last time I went, I sat in my car for 10 minutes until another customer pulled up to the next pump and I was able to get her help. Meanwhile, as the very kind customer was helping me, the EMPLOYEES were still standing around DOING NOTHING! Yeah, I’d say LA rocks because there are still kind strangers here who’ll help a person in need, but I won’t give kudos to this gas station until they get educated and start helping disabled people!
